About the event
As Plainsongs nears its 50th anniversary, the Nebraska-based poetry journal invites all past, present, and future contributors and readers (that means you) to join staff and featured poets in the Baltimore Theatre at the Lord Baltimore Hotel for an evening of poetry, mingling, music, and general revelry. Following our scheduled readings, guests will be encouraged to step up to the microphone and share a few minutes of their own creative work. Will there be singing? Possibly. A friendly, supportive atmosphere? Most certainly. Prizes? My, you're inquisitive today. Sure, probably some prizes. Free booze? Don't be absurd--we are a small press. There will be a cash bar, though. We hope to see you there!
